RFP Provide Architectural and Engineering Services for JSCB Phase 3-A

The City of Syracuse and the Syracuse City School District, acting through the Joint Schools Construction Board, invite proposals to provide Architectural and Engineering (A/E) Services for JSCB Phase 3-A of the Syracuse Schools Cooperative School Reconstruction Act. The selected A/E firm will provide design services for the reconstruction of three schools: Webster Elementary School, Seymour Dual Language Academy, and Nottingham High School. The scope of work includes pre-design, schematic design, design development, contract documents, bidding, construction, and post-construction phases. The A/E firm will be responsible for ensuring that the design meets the requirements of the New York State Education Department and the City of Syracuse. The proposal should include the firm's qualifications, experience, and approach to the project, as well as a proposed fee schedule. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing A/E services for the reconstruction of three schools • Ensuring compliance with New York State Education Department and City of Syracuse requirements • Pre-design, schematic design, design development, contract documents, bidding, construction, and post-construction phases • Proposed fee schedule based on a percentage of construction cost • Ability to staff multiple projects and provide design services that minimize change orders and scheduling changes
