Housing Rehab Assessments – FY26 Housing Repair

The City of Rocky Mount is seeking a qualified firm to provide residential rehabilitation and building inspection services for the City's Housing Repair Program. The selected contractor will perform comprehensive rehabilitation needs assessments, prepare detailed written construction estimates, and provide ongoing project monitoring for homes participating in the program. The program aims to assist eligible homeowners with necessary repairs to improve housing conditions, ensure compliance with applicable building codes, and promote safe and sustainable neighborhoods. The contractor will work closely with City staff to ensure that all rehabilitation activities are conducted in accordance with program guidelines, funding requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Key aspects of the job include: • Performing rehabilitation needs assessments and cost estimates for homeowner-requested corrective actions • Managing and attending pre-bid on-site meetings with qualified construction contractors • Providing ongoing project monitoring and ensuring that work is done according to the work write-up and in a timely manner • Performing final inspections and ensuring that all necessary forms are executed • Coordinating with City staff to ensure compliance with program guidelines and regulations
