Description
The City of Newnan is seeking qualified Residential Inspectors to inspect properties under the Chalk Level Area Housing Rehabilitation Program. The program involves the rehabilitation of owner-occupied housing units and the construction of new homes on City of Newnan owned properties. The selected inspectors will be responsible for performing on-call complete home inspections, recommending repairs, and estimating costs. The City of Newnan has been awarded $4.6 million through the FY2023 Federal Budget for this program.
• The program is open-ended, with an initial deadline of September 30, 2031.
• The City of Newnan reserves the right to reject any or all responses.
• The selection will be based on the qualifications of the Residential Inspector and the estimated fees provided.
• The inspector should have considerable experience in performing inspections of residential property.
• The inspector will be required to hold a current license to complete home inspections in Georgia.
• The inspector will be required to possess a current business license/Occupational Tax Certificate where required by local law.
• The inspector will be required to have sufficient workers' compensation, general liability, and builders' risk insurance policies in force.
