Sale of Scrap- DEMIL Tubes- Watervliet Arsenal

The Army Contracting Command - Watervliet Arsenal is soliciting bids for the sale of approximately 700,000 lbs. of DEMIL Tubes, which are being sold as scrap. The tubes will be sold per pound, and the successful contractor must pay the entire amount of the sale price prior to removal of the scrap metal. The contractor will be required to drop off 8-10 reinforced dumpsters to handle the loading of the DEMIL Tubes after award, and the contractor must be able to accommodate at least two dumpster swaps weekly. The contractor is responsible for safely and efficiently securing the scrap prior to removing it from the Watervliet Arsenal. Some key points to consider: • The property is being sold "as is" and "where is," with no warranty or guarantee. • The contractor must remove the property at their own expense within the period allowed in the Invitation. • The Government reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any technical defects in bids. • The contractor must comply with all applicable Federal, State, local, and multi-jurisdictional laws, ordinances, and regulations pertaining to the registration, licensing, handling, possession, transportation, transfer, export, processing, manufacture, sale, use, or disposal of the property.
