Term Contract for Property & Casualty Insurance Broker of Record

The City of Garland is seeking a qualified firm to serve as its Property and Casualty Insurance Broker of Record. The selected firm will be responsible for providing comprehensive brokerage services, including marketing, placement, servicing, and strategic oversight of the City's insurance programs. The firm will also provide claims advocacy services, risk management consulting services, and other related services. The City's insurance program is complex and diverse, with a self-insured retention and layered excess liability coverage, as well as a multi-layered tower structure for property insurance. The selected firm must have a minimum of five years of experience and demonstrated success in providing brokerage services to municipalities with populations of 250,000 or more. • Key services include: marketing, placement, and servicing of insurance coverages, claims advocacy, risk management consulting, and other related services • The City's insurance program includes property, casualty, and specialty insurance coverages, with a total insured value exceeding $1.7 billion • The selected firm must have experience in placing multi-layered property insurance programs and structuring casualty programs with self-insured retention models • The firm must also demonstrate familiarity with risks specific to Texas municipalities, including severe weather events, utility operations, and public sector liability risks
