Real Property Assessment Services

The County of Isle of Wight is seeking proposals from qualified Offerors to provide complete, uniform reassessment of all real property within the County, excluding public service properties, and including the inventory and valuation of all nontaxable (exempt) properties and the classification of all real property in accordance with State requirements. The successful Offeror will be required to establish the fair market value of each property, utilizing the Marshall & Swift Construction Price Guide and making an investigation of the costs of all construction items through local contractors. The contract shall be renewable for one four-year term at the County’s option. Some key responsibilities of the successful Offeror include: • Conducting a complete exterior and reasonable interior inspections to include measuring and sketching of each residence and other major improvements • Providing an organizational chart and a list of similar projects and references • Assigning qualified people to instruct the Commissioner of the Revenue and his staff in the methods and procedures used during the reassessment program • Compiling and providing an assessment manual to the Commissioner of the Revenue prior to the conclusion of the contract
