Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses to provide a Leica Microsystems Stellaris Microscope System with Confocal, 3D STED, FLIM, and Spectral Multiplexing imaging capabilities. The system should have specific features such as confocal excitation, prism-based fluorescence detection, and 3D STED super-resolution. The microscope will be used to support modern cellular and subcellular research. • The system must have a white light laser with tunable excitation range 440–790 nm with AOBS system. • The system must have prism-based spectral detection with variable emission windows to 850 nm. • The system must have five Hybrid (HyD) detectors optimized for spectral detection across approximately 400–850 nm. • The system must have 3D STED super-resolution capability. • The system must have integrated fluorescence lifetime imaging module for lifetime measurements. • The system must have a pulse picker capability to reduce/adjust the white light laser repetition rate. • The system must have scanning modes to support both high-resolution and high-speed imaging needs. • The system must have objective correction-collar support for existing Leica 100x oil and 93x glycerol objectives. • The system must have a Leica 86x water-immersion objective with correction collar, chromatically corrected across the full 440–790 nm excitation range. • The system must have high-plex spectral multiplexing capability to image 15 or more fluorescent colors per sample.

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $1,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate because the document does not provide a specific budget or price range. However, based on the complexity and advanced features of the Leica Microsystems Stellaris Microscope System, the budget could be substantial. The system is a high-end scientific instrument with advanced imaging capabilities, and its price could range from a few hundred thousand dollars to over a million dollars. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the specific configuration of the system, the number of units procured, and the level of competition among bidders.
