The Ronkonkoma Train Wash Facility Upgrades and New Wastewater Sewer Connection

The Ronkonkoma Train Wash Facility Upgrades and New Wastewater Sewer Connection project involves the installation of a new 8” HDPE sewer pipe connection and upgrades to the existing train wash system. The scope of work includes maintenance and protection of traffic during construction, removal and replacement of full depth asphalt paving, sheeting and shoring, installation of new manholes, horizontal auguring, and removal and replacement of the Potential of Hydrogen (pH) neutralization system. The project also includes the installation of a new oil water separator and permitting, coordination, final inspection, acceptance, and close out of permits issued from Governments and other agencies. • Installation of approximately 500 LF of new 8” HDPE pipe • Installation of four new manholes • Approximately 160 LF of horizontal auguring underneath LIRR track • Removal and replacement of Potential of Hydrogen (pH) neutralization system • Installation of new oil water separator • Permitting, coordination, final inspection, acceptance, and close out of permits issued from Governments and other agencies
