Description
The West O‘ahu Sewer Improvements – Princess Kahanu Estates Subdivision project involves the repair and/or replacement of existing sewer lines and manholes within the DHHL's PKE Subdivision, Nanakuli, O‘ahu. The project requires the labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to satisfactorily complete the work. The contractor must possess all required valid State of Hawaii licenses and specialty licenses needed to perform the work. A surety bid bond will be required for this Invitation for Bids (IFB). The project is subject to Section 103D, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and the payment of not less than the prevailing salaries and wages promulgated by the State of Hawaii, Department of Labor and Industrial Relations.
Some key aspects of the project include:
• The contractor must submit a properly executed and notarized STANDARD QUALIFICATION QUESTIONNAIRE FOR OFFERORS (SPO Form-21) and OFFEROR’S STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS.
• A performance bond and payment bond equal to one hundred percent of the Total Base Offer Amount will be required if the Total Base Offer Amount exceeds fifty thousand dollars ($50,000).
• The contractor must comply with all applicable state and federal statutes, including HRS §11-355, which prohibits campaign contributions from state and county government contractors during the term of the contract.
• The project involves various technical specifications, including DIVISION 1 - GENERAL REQUIREMENTS, DIVISION 2 – SITE WORK, and DIVISION 3 - CONCRETE.
• The contractor must provide a written NOTICE OF INTENTION TO BID, which shall be received by the DHHL, Land Development Division, no later than 2:00 pm, H.S.T, February 13, 2026.
