Description
The Ohio Department of Higher Education is seeking a vendor to review post-audit submissions from educator preparation programs to verify subsequent remediation and achievement of 100% of audit metrics and/or elimination of all prohibited three-cueing instruction. The selected vendor will assist with planning and execution of a process to collect and evaluate materials submitted by these thirty-four EPPs to determine whether they have met this requirement. The vendor should have experience and expertise with evaluation of higher education institutions with respect to alignment with the science of reading.
• The vendor must provide evidence of demonstrated ability to evaluate course syllabi, assessments, textbook(s), assigned readings, and other course materials to determine the extent to which instruction in the course aligns to the science of reading.
• The vendor must provide a timeline and detailed cost estimates related to the implementation of this initiative.
• The vendor must submit monthly reports to the Chancellor on review findings of submissions from educator preparation programs.
• The vendor must submit a final report to the Chancellor summarizing the findings of all submissions no later than December 15, 2026.
