Description
The United States Air Force is seeking a contractor to motorize an existing 30-foot, 3,000 lb. manual sliding gate at an Installation Access Control Point. The contractor shall furnish and install a complete, turn-key automated gate system. The required supplies include a heavy-duty, commercial-grade electric gate operator, a compatible positive drive rail or chain drive mechanism, and an automated locking system. The system must feature a hard-wired "OPEN/CLOSE/STOP" control station, a battery backup system, and a manual override. Services include all electrical work, trenching, and conduit installation, as well as system calibration. The final installation must fully comply with UL 325 and ASTM F2200 safety standards.
• The contractor will provide on-site training to government personnel.
• The contractor will provide a minimum one-year warranty on all parts and labor.
• The system must be compliant with UFC 4-022-01/03.
• The system must include photoelectric sensors and safety edges.
