Budget estimate

$450,000 – $550,000

The engineer’s estimate for the entire Phase 1 project is $500,000. Assuming a typical contractor profit margin of 10‑20 % on public‑works contracts, the expected net earnings would likely fall between $50,000 and $100,000. Additional factors such as the scope of earthwork, material costs, and any change orders could push the total contract value slightly above or below the estimate, so a reasonable budget range is $450,000 – $550,000 for the full contract.
