Description
The California Department of Transportation is seeking a qualified contractor to perform tree‑root removal, install root barriers, and replace or repair concrete sidewalks, curbs, and gutters in Shasta, Siskiyou, and Trinity counties. The work includes trenching, concrete demolition and replacement, grinding, and all associated labor, materials, permits, and waste disposal. The contract is valued up to $484,000 and will run for two years.
• Remove tree roots, install a 12‑in‑high root barrier, and treat roots with pruning sealant.
• Saw‑cut, demolish, and replace existing concrete sidewalks, curbs, and gutters (approximately 1,200 sq ft per county).
• Provide concrete grinding, temporary pedestrian safety measures, and all necessary permitting, recycling, and prevailing‑wage compliance.
