Pre-Employment Polygraph Examination Services

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide pre-employment polygraph testing services for peace officer and professional staff (non-sworn) applicants. The selected vendor(s) will be responsible for conducting polygraph examinations as part of SMCSO's pre-employment screening process. The scope of work includes conducting polygraph examinations, providing written reports, and maintaining confidentiality. The vendor must have experience in conducting pre-employment polygraph examinations for law enforcement agencies and must be certified by a recognized polygraph association. • The vendor must have a minimum of five years of experience in conducting pre-employment polygraph examinations for peace officers. • The vendor must be certified by a recognized polygraph association such as the American Polygraph Association. • The vendor must use testing questions approved by SMCSO. • The vendor must provide written reports documenting the candidate's responses and the results of the polygraph examination.
