Description
The project involves renovating the 6th floor of the Iowa City VA Medical Center to provide suitable space for clinical support staff. The renovation will result in offices, conference rooms, storage, and staff workrooms, as well as clinical areas including EMG and NVC exam rooms. The project requires a phased schedule to minimize disruption to existing facilities and patient care. The contractor will be responsible for providing all equipment, labor, materials, and tools to complete the project.
Key aspects of the project include:
• Demolition and removal of existing ductwork and piping
• Installation of new branch ductwork for ventilation and exhaust
• Upgrading electrical systems to accommodate the new layout
• Installation of new plumbing and medical gas systems
