Star Road Water Well Construction

The City of Brandon is seeking bids for the construction of a water well on Star Road. The project includes two phases: Phase I - Ground Water Pilot Hole and Test Well, and Phase II - Water Supply Production Well, Sitework Grading, Piping, Chlorination Building, Emergency Standby Generator, and all other associated work. The contract will be funded in whole or in part by funds from the Safe Drinking Water Act’s State Revolving Loan Funds. The successful bidder will be required to take affirmative steps to assure that Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are used when possible as subcontractors on this project. • The contract time is 240 consecutive calendar days with liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day thereafter. • The bid security must be 5% of the bid. • The City of Brandon reserves the right to waive any information or irregularities, to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City, or to reject any or all bids. • The contract documents may be examined at the City of Brandon, Benchmark Engineering & Surveying, LLC, and the Mississippi Procurement Technical Assistance Program. • Copies of the bidding documents may be obtained at Benchmark Engineering & Surveying, LLC upon payment of $150 per set.
