Adobe Creek Transformer-21; 15 MVA LTC Replacement & Radiator Flange Repair/Regasket

The City of Palo Alto Utilities is soliciting bids for the repair and refurbishment of a 15 MVA Allis Chalmers substation transformer equipped with a TLH-21 on-load tap changer (OLTC). The selected contractor will be responsible for replacing the TLH-21 OLTC with a certified remanufactured unit, handling and processing oil, and performing diagnostic testing. The scope of work includes replacement of radiator valves and gaskets, removal and replacement of the 60 kV SMD fuse holder, and pressure testing of the main tank. • The contractor must have experience in OLTC replacement, transformer oil processing, and high-voltage diagnostic testing. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, including California Labor Code and Public Contract Code. • The contractor must provide all necessary labor, equipment, and materials to complete the work. • The contractor must ensure that all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner, with minimal disruption to the surrounding area. • The contractor must comply with the City's utility standards and requirements, as well as those of other affected utility companies or agencies.
