Description
The Ohio Department of Transportation is seeking a vendor to provide lawn and landscape maintenance services for the District 7 Roadside Rest Areas on Interstate 75 Northbound and Southbound in Miami County. The contract will include monthly comprehensive lawn and landscape maintenance services, and the vendor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, and incidental items necessary to perform the contracted services. The vendor must have at least 5 years of experience in performing similar services and must provide proof of current liability insurance coverage. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, and the contract duration will be from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, with an optional 1-year renewal.
• The vendor must perform routine maintenance mowing and trimming, sidewalk edging, pruning and trimming of trees and shrubs, and other tasks as described in the specifications.
• The vendor must use standard watering horticultural procedures to ensure the vitality of plantings, trees, shrubs, perennials, and vines.
• The vendor must apply fertilizers, insecticides, and herbicides as necessary, and must use licensed applicators for chemical applications.
• The vendor must maintain mulched saucers around trees and must not use "Weed-Eaters" around tree trunks.
• The vendor must provide a detailed log of all maintenance activities and must meet with the District Facilities Program Administrator or their Designated Representative at least 5 times during the contract term.
