The Town of Orange is seeking engineering and design services to replace the culvert damaged in the July 2024 flood. The project is dependent on FEMA funding for 2024 (DR-4810) projects. The town highly encourages a site visit to adequately address the locational issues. The scope of work includes providing engineering and design services to replace the culvert, obtaining necessary permits, and evaluating feasible culvert replacement alternatives.
• The selected engineering consultant shall be responsible for identifying, preparing, and obtaining all permits required for project design and implementation.
• The consultant shall determine what level of subsurface investigation is necessary to develop a constructible and permittable design.
• The town requests that proposals include evaluation of feasible culvert replacement alternatives, including conceptual review and cost comparison.
• The consultant shall consider recommendations contained within the Hydraulics Study and propose the most cost-effective, constructible, and permittable solution suitable for FEMA reimbursement and ANR compliance.
