Description
The City of Salina is seeking a qualified engineering consultancy to evaluate, design, and support the replacement of three deteriorating corrugated‑metal‑pipe culverts on Fairdale Road, south of Northwood Lane. The scope includes reviewing an existing 2008 drainage study, performing updated 25‑year storm hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, developing alternative designs (size, material, alignment), preparing construction‑ready plans and specifications, and assisting with easement acquisition, utility relocation, and coordination with downstream infrastructure. The selected consultant will also provide schedule and cost estimates, and support the city through the bidding and construction phases.
• Conduct feasibility and alternative studies, including updated H‑H analysis for a 25‑year event.
• Produce full design deliverables (plans, specs, easement legal descriptions) ready for construction bid packages.
• Coordinate utility relocations, temporary construction easements, and permanent drainage easements, while interfacing with the recent Winn Road culvert replacement.
