Description
The Municipality of Anchorage is seeking bids to replace up to four rooftop HVAC units (RTUs) at the Anchorage Police Department headquarters (4501 Elmore Road, Anchorage, AK 99507). The work is a like‑for‑like replacement, including demolition of existing units, installation of new RTUs (Trane Precedent, R‑454‑B refrigerant), associated gas piping, ductwork, electrical conduit, and commissioning. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with a 1‑year warranty and liquidated damages for late completion.
• Scope: Mechanical demolition, new RTU supply & install (up to four units), gas‑piping, ductwork, electrical wiring, controls, and commissioning.
• Mandatory documentation: sealed paper bid envelope, bid bond (10 % if bid ≥ $100k), licensing, insurance, performance bond, and required subcontractor disclosures.
• Schedule: Site visit 2 PM Sep 9 2026 (optional), questions due Sep 11 2026, bids due Sep 21 2026, bid opening Sep 21 2026, contract award within 45 days of opening (if applicable), work must be completed within 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed.
