Lafitte Cove Dredging

The Escambia County is seeking a licensed marine contractor with dredging experience to dredge the entryway of Lafitte Cove Canal. The contractor will be required to mechanically dredge within the permitted 200’ x 65’ area to -5.0’ Mean Low Water at the entrance of Lafitte Cove Canal. The estimated dredged quantity per dredge event is approximately 800 cubic yards. The dredged material is to be transported to an upland site located south of Pensacola Beach Blvd. Water Towers. Some key points to consider: • The contractor must have experience with dredging and must be licensed in the State of Florida. • The contractor will be required to verify that all required permits are active and address any issues with the permits. • The contractor will be required to transport and discharge the dredged materials to the predetermined upland discharge site. • The contractor will be required to submit an accurate invoice to the County PM for payment of work completed.
