O-0526 General Engineering Consultant (GEC) Services

The Tampa-Hillsborough County Expressway Authority is seeking a General Engineering Consultant (GEC) to provide professional services on an as-needed basis. The scope of work includes a wide range of engineering, inspection, planning, design, environmental, architectural, surveying, mapping, traffic operations, Intelligent Transportation Services (ITS), project construction, and technical management services related to the Authority's Master Bond Resolution and the operation, maintenance, and construction of the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway and other facilities. The selection process will involve the evaluation of Expanded Letters of Response (ELOR) Packages and oral interviews. The Authority intends to award a contract to the most responsive and responsible respondent, and may also award continuing contracts to the 2nd and 3rd ranked firms. Some of the key services that the GEC will be required to provide include: • Engineering and design services • Inspection and testing services • Environmental services • Architectural and surveying services • Traffic operations and ITS services • Project construction and technical management services • Public involvement and administrative services The GEC will be required to have experience in providing similar services to transportation agencies and must be able to demonstrate their ability to work effectively with the Authority's staff and other stakeholders.
