DeSoto County Construction Services for Tiny Town Homeless Shelter CDBG-CV Project

The DeSoto County Board of County Commissioners is seeking formal bids from qualified firms and/or individuals for the Community Development Block Grant Corona Virus Program (CDBG-CV) to complete construction of the Tiny Home Facilities, including the building structure and supporting infrastructure for the Tiny Town Homeless Shelter. The project involves the construction of 8 ADA compliant buildings along with a boardwalk to connect each building and minor utility connections from the existing utilities to the buildings. Bidders must demonstrate a history of being the Prime Contractor on at least three recent and similar projects. The contractor will be allowed 180 calendar days for Substantial Completion and 20 additional calendar days for final completion. • The project is located in Arcadia, Florida. • The construction plan set is final, and all necessary permits have been obtained. • The basis of award shall be the lowest responsive/responsible bidder as calculated by the total of all items included in the Base Bid. • The County anticipates awarding this contract shortly after bids are due and evaluated, allowing time for Board of County Commission meeting scheduling. • The contractor will be required to provide information about their recent and similar projects, including project name, client, brief project description, total construction cost, and date project was completed.
