NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology in the Military Health System

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price contract to the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. (HJF) for Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology in the Military Health System. The proposed contract will provide continued support for CDC's Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) surveillance and epidemiology activities through access to and analysis of Military Health System (MHS) data. The contractor will support establishment and maintenance of an analytical database used to assess the epidemiology of CKD diagnosis, treatment, complications, and outcomes within the MHS. The key aspects of this opportunity include: • Epidemiologic analyses of CKD and end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) • Assessment of risk factors • Evaluation of disease patterns among active-duty and non-active-duty populations • Characterization of pediatric CKD • Investigation of rare causes of CKD
