The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) intends to sole source the repair of High Pressure Air Compressors (HPACs) No.3 and No.4 to Curtiss-Wright Fleet Solutions. The contractor will provide technical assessment, troubleshooting, and repair services to restore the compressors to Original Manufacturer's specifications. The requirement is for the support of a US Navy aircraft carrier as part of ship repair and maintenance. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement, but the government has determined that only one source is reasonably available due to exclusive licensing agreements and proprietary rights.
The key aspects of the job include:
• Providing technical assessment and troubleshooting services for the HPACs
• Repairing the HPACs to OEM specifications
• Providing all parts and supplies not available through the Government Stock System
• Delivering and installing replacement parts
• Completing inspection and operational testing of the Ship's equipment in accordance with OEM drawings and repair standards
• Restoring the unit to meet mission scheduling and return the ship back to the Fleet.
