The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) intends to enter into negotiations for a six-year agreement with Cepheid for the direct purchase of assay kits, reagents, equipment, and other needed supplies. These products will be utilized by DOHMH's Public Health Laboratory (PHL) and Sexual Health Clinics for clinical and environmental testing for the detection and identification of various bacteria, pathogens, and viruses. • The required assay kits, reagents, and equipment will be used for testing carbapenemase, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), and other emerging bacteria, pathogens, and viruses. • Cepheid is the sole source provider for the required products. • The agreement is for a six-year period, with an anticipated start date of 11/1/2026 and an end date of 10/31/2032.
