Engine Oil & Transmission Fluid - Laredo Transit Management

The City of Laredo is seeking bids for the purchase of engine oil and transmission fluid for the Laredo Transit Management. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to extend for three additional one-year periods. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any minor irregularities. The successful bidder will be required to provide engine oil and transmission fluid that meets the specifications outlined in the bid document. The quantities of engine oil and transmission fluid needed are estimates and are based on the best available information. The City may purchase more than the estimated quantities, less than the estimated quantities, or not purchase any quantities at all. The needs of the City shall govern the amount that is purchased and change orders shall not be applicable. Some key points to consider are: * The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder. * The bidder must provide a Manufacturer's Data Sheet and descriptive literature describing the products. * The bid price must include the $0.08 cent Used Oil Management Fund fee for applicable products. * The City reserves the right to cancel the contract if the price increase is deemed excessive. * The City will allow unit price adjustments upwardly or downwardly when correlated with an industry-wide adjustment.
