The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is soliciting bids to install synthetic turf at the Upper Yard Phase 2 of the San Quentin Rehabilitation Center. The work includes supply, delivery, and full installation of two turf systems (K9 Grass Endura and SportsGrass Edge Lite), sub‑base preparation, drainage, seam and edge detailing, and post‑installation training. Bidders must submit a two‑phase price (submittals and installation) on the provided rate sheet, comply with California‑company preference rules, disclose all subcontractors > 0.5 % of the bid, and offer a minimum 1 % early‑payment discount. • Provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, bonds, insurance, and related expenses for ~6,000 sq ft of synthetic turf.
• Follow detailed specification Section 01 25 00 for product approvals, substitution procedures, and installation methods (base aggregate, seam tape, adhesive, infill where required).
• Submit complete submittals (product data, shop drawings, samples, warranty, “Made in USA” certification) before installation phase.
• Offer at least a 1 % discount on invoices paid within 30 days; the highest discount breaks ties.
• Must be a California‑registered contractor (or meet reciprocal preference) and provide required bonds, insurance, and DVBE subcontractor disclosures.
