Stadium Repair Design Build

The Yancey County Schools (YCS) is soliciting qualifications for Design-Build firms for repairs and renovations at the Stadium for Mountain Heritage High School. The project includes design, permitting, and construction services for eight distinct areas, including stadium bleacher replacement, retaining wall and stadium access, athletic field lighting, restroom renovations and expansion, landscaping and site improvements, parking, pavement, sidewalks, and drainage, scoreboard installation, and press box renovation. The selected firm will be responsible for providing all necessary services, including design, construction, and project management. Key aspects of the project include: • Replacement of stadium bleachers with engineered reinforced concrete foundations and code-compliant aluminum seating systems • Removal and replacement of the existing retaining wall • Installation of a new LED sports lighting system • Renovation and expansion of restrooms • Landscaping and site improvements • Installation of a new electronic athletic scoreboard • Renovation of the press box The project requires a qualified and experienced firm with a strong track record of delivering similar projects on time and within budget. The selected firm will be expected to work closely with YCS staff to ensure that the project meets the needs of the school and the community.
