Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) Services-For Midland ISD Storie Middle School Reno/Encore – Phase 1 and Phase 2(One-Step Process)

The Midland Independent School District is seeking a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the renovation and expansion of Storie Middle School. The project includes the construction of a new classroom addition, renovation of existing facilities, and site work. The CMAR will be responsible for providing pre-construction and construction phase services, including cost estimation, scheduling, and project management. The district is looking for a CMAR with experience in similar projects, a strong safety record, and the ability to maintain project schedules. Some key aspects of the project include: • New construction: A classroom addition serving the Encore program for special needs, including three classrooms, activity hub, life skills kitchen, retail shop, office, and utility spaces. • Renovations: Asbestos abatement, site repairs, exterior repairs, and heavy renovations to various building areas, including updates to finishes, mechanical and plumbing systems, and installation of a building-wide fire sprinkler system. • Site work: Drop-off lane, site paving, associated parking, outdoor play area with a shade structure and basketball court, and demolition of existing tennis courts and construction of four new tennis courts with fencing. The CMAR will be selected based on a one-step process, with a non-mandatory pre-proposal conference and evaluation of proposals based on criteria such as price, experience, safety record, and methodology.
