Description
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is seeking bids to establish a blanket purchase order for the procurement of liquid sweetener, saccharin sugar substitute concentrate. The contract will be from the date of award through August 31, 2026, with no option to renew. Bidders must provide a quote for the delivery of the sweetener to the Southern Region Distribution Center in Rosharon, Texas. The estimated quantity is 897 units, and the delivery may be a factor in the award.
• The sweetener must meet the requirements of CID A-A-20178C, Type I: Saccharin, Style C: Liquid, Package 5: Bottle.
• The active sweetening ingredient must be Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) grade.
• The finished product must contain 3.8% (+/- 0.3) percent of active ingredient.
• The product must be packaged in a plastic bottle with a dispenser top, with a minimum of 8 oz to 13 oz per bottle, and 12 bottles per case.
