Professional Engineering & Consulting Services for Major Throughfare Plan Update

The Goochland County is seeking a qualified engineering consultant to prepare a Major Thoroughfare Plan (MTP) to be adopted as a component of the Comprehensive Plan. The MTP shall be a planning-level document that establishes a long-range vision for the County’s roadway and multimodal network, including implementation guidance. All analyses shall be performed using methodologies consistent with applicable standards of the Virginia Department of Transportation, Institute of Transportation Engineers, and the Highway Capacity Manual, as appropriate for planning-level analysis. Key aspects of the job include: • Preparing a Major Thoroughfare Plan (MTP) for the County • Establishing a long-range vision for the County’s roadway and multimodal network • Providing implementation guidance for the MTP • Performing analyses using applicable standards and methodologies • Submitting a proposal that meets the requirements outlined in the RFP document
