Historic Property Rehabilitation

The City of Wheat Ridge is seeking quotes from qualified firms or individuals to rehabilitate wood components, including finishing work, at the Richards-Hart Estate. The scope of work includes rehabilitating wood components, replacing concrete at porch column footings, rehabilitating porch framing, and prepping, priming, and painting wood components to match existing components. The City is looking for a firm with experience in similar work and the ability to address issues critical to the success of the project. The evaluation criteria include firm capabilities and references, scope of submission, and price. • The City reserves the right to investigate and confirm the proposer's financial responsibility. • The City is exempt from City, County, State, and Federal sales and excise taxes. • The successful proposer will be required to execute Certificates of Insurance and maintain specific insurance coverage. • The contract is subject to funding and may be terminated or renewed at the discretion of the City. • The City encourages and participates in cooperative procurement endeavors. • The City has implemented a requirement for Project Managers to assess each vendor's performance and issue a determination as to whether the City should award the vendor future City contracts.
