The City of East St. Louis is seeking a contractor to perform a comprehensive “Business Retention Program” upgrade at 948 St. Louis Ave. The work covers electrical, fire‑safety, security, and interior finish improvements to modernize the facility and bring it up to code.
• Replace breaker box
• Install 60‑gallon electric hot water tank
• Install three emergency exit lights
• Update fire extinguishers with current tags
• Install smoke and carbon‑dioxide detectors throughout the building
• Install a rear security door
• Install new 2 × 4 ceiling lights throughout
• Repair and rebuild wall with 5/8″ drywall and metal or wood studs
• Install security camera system
• Replace ceiling tiles
• Paint and primer entire interior
