Blacklidge Drive Bicycle Boulevard- FHWA

The City of Tucson is seeking bids for the construction of a bicycle boulevard along approximately 4.5 miles of Blacklidge Drive between Oracle Road and Columbus Boulevard. The project will incorporate signalized pedestrian hybrid beacons (HAWK signals) to allow for safer bicycle and pedestrian crossing without major impacts to traffic flow. The contractor will be responsible for designing and building the bicycle boulevard, including all necessary materials, labor, and equipment. • The project will prioritize bicycling by slowing traffic and assisting bicyclists and pedestrians in crossing busier streets. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and city codes. • The contractor must provide a bid bond, payment bond, and performance bond. • The contractor must have the necessary licenses and certifications to perform the work. • The contractor must comply with the City's insurance requirements. • The contractor must submit a bid schedule, offer and acceptance form, bid bond, and subcontractor listing.
