Description
Luzerne County is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive winter maintenance (snow plowing, ice removal, salting) for Road & Bridge Districts 4 and 5 during the 2026‑2027 winter season. The contract runs for six months from award, with the County supplying salt and anti‑skid material. The contractor must furnish all labor, operators, equipment (5‑10 ton dump trucks equipped with snowplows, backup equipment, communication gear), fuel, insurance, and must be able to respond 24/7 to weather events. No bid or performance bond is required, but the contractor must meet insurance minimums and may be required to submit additional documentation. The award will be made after evaluating price, reputation, quality, and ability to meet County needs.
