The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information on vendors that can provide a Frequency Comb per the specifications attached to the document. The Frequency Comb is required for the Time and Frequency division, as part of the Chronos initiative, to transfer stability between various laser wavelengths and support work on high-stability optical cavities, optical frequency ratio measurements, and to develop future optical timescales. The requirements for the Frequency Comb include optical frequency comb system, optical output channels, optical input channels, RF output channels, frequency stability, accuracy, integrated phase noise, and high bandwidth control.
• The Frequency Comb should be capable of achieving frequency ratio measurements among the wavelengths listed above with offsets below 10^-19 at averaging times beyond 10000 s.
• The Frequency Comb should have a frequency stability of < 5x10^-18 @ 1 s relative noise achievable for transfer of stability from any one of the wavelengths listed above to the others.
• The Frequency Comb should have an integrated phase noise < 65 mrad across a bandwidth up to 2 MHz.
• The Frequency Comb should have a high bandwidth control (> 1 MHz) of repetition rate and carrier-envelope.
• The Frequency Comb should be rack mountable (3U height) and have monitoring and control over ethernet.
