Maintenance of County Street and Navigation Lights

The scope of work under this contract involves the preventive and response maintenance of street and navigation lights throughout Escambia County. The contractor will be responsible for performing bi-monthly inspections of streetlights on Bob Sikes Bridge, monthly inspections of navigation lights on Bob Sikes Bridge, and responding to service calls for other streetlights. The contractor must also maintain a 24-hour contact number and be available for emergency services. Some key points to consider: • The contract has a term of 36 months with two optional 12-month renewal periods. • The contractor must have prior satisfactory electrical experience and possess sufficient qualifications to perform the work. • The contractor must comply with FDOT standards for work site safety and traffic maintenance. • The contractor must provide a professional appearance and conduct, and immediately discharge any technician using profane or abusive language. • The contractor must store, safeguard, and maintain a written inventory of County-owned spare equipment. Some of the services and materials required under this contract include: • Preventive maintenance services, including inspections and minor repairs • Repair rates for various types of lighting equipment • Utility coordination and traffic maintenance • Provision of aerial bucket trucks, service trucks, and other equipment • Installation of new lighting fixtures and removal of existing ones • Maintenance of traffic and pedestrian passage during excavations • Compliance with FDOT standards and regulations.
