Description

The SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is seeking a vendor to provide commercial stages and controller components for the XPP Hutch motorization of laser tiles. The vendor must provide a proposal that meets the requirements outlined in the Statement of Work document, LCLSII-HE-1.4-SW-1449-R1. The proposal should include a quoted price, delivery information, technical compliance statement, and certification. The vendor will be responsible for delivering the items to the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, and the delivery date should be within 6 months. Some key points to consider are: • The vendor must provide a design document and/or data package that demonstrates a design that meets or exceeds the technical specifications set out in the Statement of Work document. • The vendor will be evaluated on their past performance, including their ability to deliver similar systems on schedule and their experience with integrating motorized stage systems into SLAC controls system infrastructure. • The vendor must provide a quality control plan that demonstrates their ability to produce defect-free stages and controllers that meet all SOW specifications. • The vendor will be evaluated on their manufacturing capabilities and capacity, including their ability to deliver the system on schedule using a quality-controlled manufacturing process.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is likely to be in the range of $500,000 to $2 million, based on the complexity of the laser system and the requirements for the commercial stages and controller components. The actual budget will depend on the vendor's proposed price, the scope of work, and the evaluation of the proposal by SLAC. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the cost of materials, labor, and testing, as well as the vendor's overhead and profit margin.
