RFP # 14 OF 2026 - ERIE COUNTY SUMMER JOBS PROGRAM

The Erie County Summer Jobs Program aims to provide career pathways-related job placements for young individuals aged 15-21. The program features a two-tiered approach, catering to both those with no work experience and those ready for more career-oriented placements. The selected respondent will be responsible for recruiting and enrolling 150 young individuals, collaborating with community organizations, conducting orientation sessions, facilitating 180-hour work placements, administering payroll, managing compliance, and conducting post-program evaluations. The program's objectives include providing job readiness and employment opportunities for the youth population, addressing the shortage of quality workers for local employers, and creating a pipeline of skilled workers for the future. • The program will operate from July 1 to August 30, 2026. • The respondent will work with employers and youth participants to arrange six-week summer job placements. • The program will include orientation sessions, soft skills training, and career counseling. • The respondent will be responsible for evaluating the program's success and providing a final report. • The program will be funded by the County of Erie, with a budget of approximately $3 million. • The respondent will be required to sign a contract containing an Equal Employment Opportunity Clause.
