DeSoto County Construction Services for Tiny Town Homeless Shelter CDBG-CV Project

The DeSoto County Board of County Commissioners is seeking formal bids from qualified firms and/or individuals for the Community Development Block Grant Corona Virus Program (CDBG-CV) to complete the construction of the Tiny Home Facilities, including the building structure and supporting infrastructure for the Tiny Town Homeless Shelter. The project involves the construction of 8 ADA compliant buildings along with a boardwalk to connect each building and minor utility connections from the existing utilities to the buildings. The key requirements for bidders include: • A history of being the Prime Contractor on at least three recent and similar projects, with at least one project similar to this proposed structure completed within the past seven years for a public entity. • The ability to provide the necessary information for all projects submitted, including project name, client, brief project description, total construction cost, and date project was completed. The contractor will be allowed 146 calendar days for substantial completion and 20 additional calendar days for final completion.
