Description
The North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking bids for the purchase of Portable Belt Type Salt Conveyors constructed of 304 Stainless Steel. The conveyors will be used for loading road salt into storage domes. The contract is for a one-time procurement, and the State reserves the right to award separate contracts to different vendors for one or more line items. Key requirements include:
* Conveyor frame shall be welded type construction with a minimum 10-gauge mainframe
* Unit shall be towable
* Conveyor belt shall be 200 lb. PVC crescent top or equal with stainless steel laced splice
* Conveyor shall have a stainless-steel dust cover with full locking seal
* Conveyors shall include a self-contained lifting system
* Working height shall be up to 35-feet
* Salt Conveyor shall be capable of loading dry or damp salt
* Salt Conveyor shall have a working capacity of at least 300 tons per hour
Vendors must submit their bids electronically via the electronic Vendor Portal (eVP) and include all required attachments, including pricing, product specifications, and certifications.
