Spokane County State Government Affairs Consultant

The Spokane County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a Federal Government Affairs State Lobbyist Consultant to provide strategic legislative and governmental affairs services. The consultant will be responsible for monitoring legislation, representing the County in Olympia, advising County leadership, coordinating advocacy efforts, and supporting County priorities in policy development and the state budget process. The ideal candidate will have experience in government affairs, lobbying, and policy development. The contract term is renewable, and the County reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time. • The consultant will be required to provide monthly reports on their activities and progress. • The consultant will be expected to attend County meetings and events as necessary. • The consultant will be required to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. • The consultant will be expected to work independently and as part of a team. • The consultant will be required to have a strong understanding of government affairs, lobbying, and policy development.
