Gallup Service Unit: Non-Personal Healthcare Services – General Internist Outpatient Physician Services and Infectious Disease Physician Services

The Indian Health Service is seeking a contractor to provide General Internist Outpatient Physician Services and Infectious Disease Physician Services at the Gallup Indian Medical Center in Gallup, New Mexico. The contractor will be required to provide two full-time General Internist physicians and one full-time Infectious Disease physician, as well as one part-time Infectious Disease physician. The contract will be for a base period of 24 months, with three option periods of six months each. The contractor will be responsible for providing medical services to patients at the medical center, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, prescribing medications, and referring patients to specialists as needed. The contractor will also be required to maintain accurate and detailed medical records, and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). • The contractor must have experience providing medical services to patients in a clinical setting. • The contractor must have a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of medicine, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illnesses. • The contractor must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. • The contractor must be able to maintain accurate and detailed medical records, and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. • The contractor must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
