Cabling Refresh Districtwide

The Dieringer School District is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide all labor and materials necessary to replace existing Cat 5/Se network cabling, patch panels, and wall jacks with new Cat 6/6A ethernet cabling, patch panels, wall jacks, and associated supplies at three sites. The project includes replacing existing fiber, Cat 5/Se network cabling infrastructure, patch panels, and wall jacks across three sites. The objective is to improve performance, reliability, labeling consistency, and future scalability while aligning with E-Rate program requirements. • The project includes a mandatory walk-thru of all 3 buildings on January 13, 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the District Administration building. • The vendor will relocate and rewire any necessary network racks into a wall-mounted network closet for the IDFs and two post racks for MDFs. • The project requires a comprehensive replacement of existing fiber, Cat 5/Se network cabling infrastructure, patch panels, and wall jacks. • The project includes the installation of new horizontal cabling using plenum-rated Cat6A for all user drops, cameras, and WAPs. • The project requires the replacement of current IDF racks/cabinets with secure wall-mounted network cabinets with ventilation, dedicated electrical outlets, and integrated cable management.
