Description

The US Army is seeking a contractor to install emergency truck lights on Ford F-550 vehicles for the Massachusetts Army National Guard. The contractor will be responsible for providing personnel, equipment, materials, and supervision to perform the installation services. The installation must meet federal, state, and military standards for emergency vehicle lighting and sirens. The contractor will be required to integrate the emergency lighting and siren systems into the vehicle's factory auxiliary switch panel and ensure that all wiring is loomed, secured, and professionally routed to avoid interference with OEM systems. Some key requirements of the contract include: * Integrating emergency lighting and siren systems into the vehicle's factory auxiliary switch panel * Installing specific light components, including a front interior visor light bar, grille-mounted blue lights, and rear-facing blue lights * Configuring a siren system to activate via a dedicated factory auxiliary switch * Ensuring all wiring is loomed, secured, and professionally routed to avoid interference with OEM systems * Ensuring all systems are compliant with federal, state, and military standards for emergency vehicle lighting and sirens

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $200,000

The budget for this contract is likely to be relatively low, given the scope of the work and the fact that it is a firm fixed price contract. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary personnel, equipment, and materials to perform the installation services, and the government will pay a fixed price for the work. Based on the requirements of the contract, a reasonable estimate for the budget would be between $50,000 and $200,000. This estimate takes into account the cost of labor, materials, and equipment needed to perform the installation services, as well as the fact that the contract is for a relatively small number of vehicles.
