Description
The District is seeking a qualified landscape contractor to demolish existing turf and irrigation, and to design‑build a water‑wise landscape for El Capitan High School. The work includes removal of approximately 30,603 sf of turf, installation of new planting, decorative gravel, mulch, storm‑water basins, and a low‑water‑use irrigation system, as well as bioswale/dry‑riverbed features. All work must follow the district’s plans, specifications, and special conditions, and comply with California building, environmental, and prevailing‑wage requirements.
• Demolition of existing turf and selected irrigation (≈30,603 sf turf, 1,619 sf irrigation).
• Installation of new planting (≈2,068 plants, 12 trees), gravel, mulch, storm‑water basins, and a drip‑irrigation system.
• Construction of bioswale/dry‑riverbed areas, compliance with safety, environmental, and DVBE participation policies, and provision of warranties/as‑built documentation.
