Phillipsburg Board of Education is seeking a qualified school‑bus operator to provide student‑transportation services for the 2026‑27 school year. The contractor must supply MV‑registered, DVR‑equipped school buses, qualified drivers and, where required, bus aides, and must adhere to strict NJ statutory requirements, safety‑training, and reporting protocols. Service runs from the first day of school (Sept 3 2026) through the last day (Jun 18 2027) and follows the district’s published calendar. Payments are per‑diem based on the number of service days, with a bid guarantee and a performance bond required.
• Provide MV‑registered school buses with two‑way radio or cell phone, DVR system (recordings ≥30 days), and spare buses for breakdowns.
• Drivers and aides must meet NJ background‑check, TB‑testing, and Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act requirements; safety‑education training twice per year is mandatory.
