CIVIC CENTER HOUSING PROJECT: PHASE 3B: ON SITE DELIVERY, STITCHING, & CONSTRUCTION OF MODULAR HOUSING UNITS

The City of Avalon is seeking bids for the construction of modular housing units as part of the Civic Center Housing Project. The project involves the on-site delivery, stitching, and construction of 39 modular units. The contractor will be responsible for mobilization, general conditions, traffic control, logistics, crane installation, and various other tasks. The project requires a high level of coordination and communication with the city and other stakeholders. The contractor must also ensure that all work is done in accordance with the contract documents and applicable laws and regulations. Some of the key tasks include: • Mobilization and general conditions for the total project scope • Logistics of modular units from the manufacturer's facility to the project site • Crane installation and hoisting of modular units • Installation of pressure-treated sill plates • MEP connections and installation of various systems • Roof assembly and installation of gutters and downspouts • Water-resistant barrier and flashing scope • Fiber cement batten board siding installation • Exterior railing and stair installation • Drywall installation and finishing • Exterior painting and common area lighting installation The city is looking for a qualified contractor who can demonstrate experience in similar projects and has the necessary resources and expertise to complete the work on time and within budget.
